2024 is almost over! Join us all month long as we look back at 2024, a year of success. Each week we’ll look back on all the work we’ve done, the projects, the milestones, and the people we’ve connected with along the way.
In 2024 Capital Strategic Solutions was out in the field! For projects and conferences, our team was out there, meeting the people who make up our communities, assisting our clients and partners, and getting a firsthand look at the importance of our work. Follow our walk down memory lane and see our staff in action!
Hopkinton Family Day: MWRA Project, Hopkinton MA

This summer Project Managers Mike Tusino and Meredith Roberts were in Hopkinton MA for Family Day. We partnered with the Hopkinton Department of Public Works to share information about the Hopkinton MWRA Water Connection Project, and even educating about stormwater runoff. Our outreach and communication team meets the community where they are and can distill complex and technical information into something simple and approachable.
Town of Randolph MA Lead Service Line Inventory

Ever since the EPA released the new Lead and Copper Rule our team has been supporting multiple communities with building their Service Line material Inventory, communicating with homeowners and businesses, and assisting with private line service identification. Here Senior Project Manager Ken Calder and Project Manager Mike Tusino are hard at work digitizing service cards, cross referencing the information and inputting data into the inventory spreadsheet. With this project and others, many hands make light work!

Ten Mile River Flood Study: North Attleborough MA

Our outreach team was back at it in the town of North Attleborough MA asking the community for their input on the Ten Mile River Flood Study. Capital Strategic Solutions at the Massachusetts Water Works Association Expo at Wachusett Mountain

Our Team had a fantastic time at the Massachusetts Water Works Association (MWWA) summer Expo at Wachusett Mountain meeting those in the industry, sharing our expertise, and connecting over shared experiences in this critical and ever-evolving field. This year our CEO Nichol Figueiredo, Senior Project Manager Mike Schrader, Executive Administrator Staci Figueiredo, and Project Specialist Adam Polagruto attended and had a great time connecting with the other attendees.
Bill Keegan, Norfolk-Bristol-Middlesex MA Highway Association Spring Technical Session

This past spring Senior Project Manager Bill Keegan presented at the Norfolk- Bristol- Middlesex (NBM) Highway Association’s Spring Technical Session. Bill shared his expertise on how to build effective communication systems between managers, supervisors, and employees. As a former Town Manager, Bill understands how fast paced and hectic day-to-day operations can be, and how important communication is to thrive in that kind of environment. Building buy-in and connection starts with honest and consistent communication.
Our team has been hard at work all year sharing their expertise with others in the industry and conducting outreach and engagement in our client communities. We are so grateful for the opportunity to see so much of our wonderful client communities and meet so many people who care deeply about the issues they face every day. As we look forward to 2025, we are eager to be out in the field once again, engaging, educating, and connecting across even more states.
