Capital Strategic Solutions is pleased to share that the Town of Oakham was recently awarded a FY24 Community Compact IT Grant Program grant in the amount of $25,587 by the State of Massachusetts. Capital Strategic Solutions assisted the Town of Oakham with their grant application for funds to overhaul the Town’s current website to significantly expand opportunities for the public to transact business with the Town government and create internal efficiencies for staff.
The funds will be used to expand the website capabilities to offer online services including online payments, the use of online forms to streamline actions such as applying to serve on a town board, reporting potholes and other issues, registering for emergency notifications, and others.
With a population of less than 2,000 residents, Oakham Town offices are only open during limited hours, and with this investment in a more robust service-oriented website, residents will be able to access more services at times convenient to them. The updated website will also offer more modern features such as language translation, ADA compliance and realignment of information that will make it easier to navigate.
