Please join us in welcoming Patricia Grigas to the CSS team. A dedicated and accomplished leader with more than 30 years of progressive experience in law enforcement, Patti’s expansive skillset will be a powerful addition to our team. Working collaboratively across the board to strategically plan public safety and officer training programs, Patti is an experienced public information officer with expertise in public safety policy, audits, action plans and evidence organization.
As a seasoned commander, Patti oversaw administrative services for the Framingham Police Department, including directing daily operations for the Records Bureau where she supervised evidence room staff ensuring the security and proper inventory of all seized property. In this role, Patti developed and implemented a streamlined process for evidence tracking and reporting which continues as standard practice today for the Department.
Patti played a critical role in guiding the Department’s communication strategy, serving as Media Spokesperson delivering information about ongoing investigations, departmental activities, crime trends and other topics of interest through news outlets and social media platforms.
In her role as Bureau Commander of Professional Standards and Hiring, Patti investigated complaints of criminal activity and violations of Department rules and regulations against members of the Police Department, including allegations of misconduct by department employees. She oversaw background investigations of all new employees, civilian and sworn; and was a liaison for recruit officers during the hiring process, through academy training and completion of the Field Training Program. Patti’s interest in the professional development of officers continued with oversight of department training and in-service programming.
Patti served as Assistant to Accreditation Manager, performing policy review and division inspections, in accordance with Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission standards. As an Assessor with the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, Patti conducted accreditation assessments for various police agencies.
Throughout her career in law enforcement, Patti has obtained several professional development certifications and diplomas including graduating from the FBI National Academy.
Patti believes that “society is continually evolving, and law enforcement agencies must adapt accordingly. Professional development keeps officers updated on shifts in societal norms, emerging technologies, and changes in laws and regulations. Continuing training and education can lead to better decision-making and improved policing strategies. When the public sees that officers are well-trained and committed to professional growth, it will enhance trust and collaboration between the community and the police.”
Patti’s experience, education, and continued professional development will allow Capital Strategic Solutions to offer specialized advice, analysis, training, and solutions to law enforcement agencies. She will work side by side with command staff to develop action plans that meet their goals, define their vision, mission, objectives, not only for today, but into the future.
