Liz Kalaijian is a Project Manager at Capital Strategic Solutions (CSS), where she supports municipalities with strategic communications, public outreach, and engagement. Liz brings a strong media lens to her client work, informed by her background in television news as an assignment editor at CBS News and Boston 25 News. She helps municipal clients strengthen media relations and outreach by identifying story opportunities, shaping clear messaging, preparing spokespeople, and supporting proactive outreach that increases visibility for important initiatives and announcements. She is skilled at translating detailed information into accurate, community-facing narratives that are easy to understand and ready for public release.
Beyond daily communications work, Liz focuses on preparing public-sector teams for the moments that matter most. Through media and crisis communications training, she helps municipal officials, public safety professionals, and communications staff deliver clear, coordinated messages under pressure and build long-term capacity within their organizations.
Liz also contributes practical guidance in municipal communications through writing on public-sector trends and best practices, helping teams apply timely insights to real-world challenges.
Currently, Liz serves as the project lead for the Towns of Westford and Brookline, guiding communications and community outreach and engagement efforts. She helps shape clear, resident-focused messaging, coordinate public-facing initiatives, and support municipal teams in connecting effectively with their communities.
Outside of work, Liz loves spending time with her two nieces, Lia and Gemma, along with friends, family, and her dog, Lincoln. She’s also an avid student of astrology and enjoys spending her free time exploring the cosmos.
