Key Grant Details
- Funding Availability: Grants cover up to 50% of total project costs, with a maximum award of $500,000 per project.
- Eligible Lands: Projects must protect High-Priority Water Supply Lands, including:
- Wellhead Protection Areas (WHPA)
- Hydrologic Areas of Concern (HAC)
- High-Yield Stratified Drift Aquifers (GA2 classification)
- Lands identified as beneficial for future public water systems
Application Process
- Pre-Application Submission: Due by May 21, 2025. Each project requires a separate submission.
- Eligibility Review: The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) will assess applications for completeness.
- Full Application Invitation: Eligible applicants will be invited to submit a full funding application by June 25, 2025.
- Evaluation & Funding Decisions: A subcommittee reviews applications, conducts site visits in July through September, and awards will be made in October.
