Capital Strategic Solutions is proud to welcome Sara Pragluski Walsh as a Senior Project Manager. Her background in education makes her very skilled in curriculum development, growth planning, and needs analysis. Whether it’s working in public schools or at the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services (MA DFS), Sara is responsive, thoughtful, and precise in her planning and program management. We are proud to share her skills with more communities in need of this technical expertise.
Since 2020 Sara has been at the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services (MA DFS), where she is the instructional design and curriculum development specialist. In this role, Sara conducts root cause analysis by exemplar modeling on universally instructional designed materials. Fostering a collaborative group environment, she leads side by side with her team rather than from the top down to improve the quality and quantity of programs. When she made the transition into the Fire Service, Sara went out of her way to supplement her knowledge with industry specific training. She completed the Call / Volunteer Firefighter I/II training. Paired with her background in education, Sara and her team reconfigured the preconceived notions of what it means to learn in the fire service and innovated the curriculum.
Sara previously served in the Springfield, Massachusetts public school district, where she began her career as an educator and quickly became a principal. As principal, Sara oversaw larger efforts to improve the district’s struggling high school. Sara managed the state-level School Turn Around Project to its successful completion. Under Sara’s leadership, every measurable marker improved, from an increase in attendance and academic performance as well as graduation rates, to a decrease in suspensions.
Sara’s philosophy shines through in all her work. She understands that everyone can learn, and that anyone can dictate the path of their life by leveraging education in all its forms.

Sara is continuously at the front lines of education innovation, consistently pursuing knowledge that puts her on the cutting edge of everything she does. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership and supervision from American International University, and a certificate of advanced graduate study in educational administration, with a focus on diverse leadership and instructional coaching.
