Capital Strategic Solutions (CSS) is assisting the Town of Burrillville, RI and its’ Department of Public Works in preparing grant applications to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development Grant/Loan program in support of both the State Rte. 102 (Bronco Highway) and Lapham Road water loop and sewer connection and Chapel Street sewer projects.

The design of the $3.0M Rte. 102 and Lapham Road water loop and sewer project extension includes approximately 3800 lf of 12” water main and approximately 900 lf of 4” sanitary force main and 300 lf of 12” gravity sewer main and is essentially complete and if the Town is awarded this grant the USDA funds will be applied to the construction phase of the project. The approximately $2.0M Chapel Street Sewer Project is at a more conceptual design stage and, if successful, the Town will use the USDA grant funding for pre-planning and preliminary engineering assistance in connection with this project to advance it to the final construction design phase.

CSS staff is excited to be working with the Town of Burrillville staff, especially its’ Department of Public Works and Finance Departments, and has received an extraordinary level of cooperation and assistance in gathering the necessary data for the USDA applications.

Having CSS take the ball and run with it to find alternative financial tools, such as grants allows us to focus on the project planning and design aspects of each of these critical projects in Burrillville. Tim has been a great resource and compliments our team’s work ethic and mission to protect the health and wellbeing of our community.
