Public Safety, Recreation, Historic Preservation, and Community Infrastructure Funding Opportunities
As municipalities continue planning for FY2027, many communities are looking for funding opportunities that support public safety, recreation, historic preservation, community infrastructure, and quality-of-life initiatives. While some well-known grant programs have already closed or were highlighted earlier this month, several additional funding opportunities remain available for municipalities preparing projects this summer.
This week’s Grant Watch Wednesday features new grant opportunities that have not been highlighted in previous editions. From emergency communications and historic preservation to trails, outdoor recreation, and military-community partnerships, these programs provide valuable funding resources for communities seeking to invest in long-term community improvements.

As additional FY2027 funding opportunities are announced throughout the summer, Grant Watch Wednesday will continue highlighting new programs that help municipalities advance infrastructure, recreation, public safety, economic development, and community enhancement initiatives.
