Most recently, Ed served as Chief of Police for the Town of Wayland, Massachusetts, where he concluded a 32-year law enforcement career marked by progressive leadership roles in Wayland, Ashland, and Framingham. As Chief, he prioritized department modernization, operational transparency, and community-focused policing initiatives designed to strengthen public confidence and improve public safety outcomes.

Throughout his career, Ed successfully led complex organizations through evolving challenges while maintaining a strong focus on service, accountability, and collaboration. His experience working with municipal leaders, public safety professionals, community stakeholders, and regional partners has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the operational and organizational challenges facing local governments today.
