The State of Massachusetts’ popular municipal vulnerability preparedness program (MVP) is now accepting expressions of interest (EOI) ahead of the formal application process which will be released in the spring. The voluntary process provides valuable feedback about a project a community is considering so they can develop a more competitive application.
The MVP program provides funding to address climate hazards and vulnerabilities to improve resilience to climate change.
Because the full application requires much thought and detail in order to be competitive, towns are strongly urged to submit an EOI to obtain feedback that can help ensure their resulting application has a clear focus that addresses existing environmental, economic and social disparities in their community.
